A note about my German and English letters

You might be receiving letters from me in both English and German. Here's how it works – and how to choose the language that suits you best.

Good morning, Faithful!

You might be receiving letters from me in both English and German – from Notes from Markus Zohner and from Markus Zohner – Briefe.
Over the years, my mailing list has grown to include readers who speak both languages, and I write in both.

Here's how it works:

Some content appears in both languages – essays, reflections, stories from my travels and creative work. Other content is language-specific: workshop announcements in German-speaking Switzerland or Germany, book launches in their original language, local event invitations.
I am publishing these blogs and letters with the help of a very small team. I have no possibility of clearly separating content between blogs, so content overlap is part of the game. If this feels redundant to you, you can help me by choosing the language you prefer.

If two emails feel like too much:

Please simply choose the language that feels right for you, and unsubscribe from the other – no hard feelings whatsoever. Keep both – simply do nothing, and I'll be grateful for your company in two languages. Content will differ, and it will overlap.

Thank you for reading, in whichever language suits you.

Warmly,
Markus

Questions?

If I become a Kompagnon, do I also get access to Desire Lines? And what about the Italian OLTRESPECCHIO?

Yes. Your membership works across all three sites. As a Kompagnon (Markus Zohner – Briefe), you automatically have Travel Mate access on Notes from Markus Zohner – including Desire Lines. You also get access to OLTRESPECCHIO on BACKSTAGE Magazine.
One membership, three languages. Content will differ between Spiegelschrift, Desire Lines and OLTRESPECCHIO, and it will overlap.

Desire Lines
